GTIN/EAN 13 Membership Type

Do you want to get your own barcode? Want to sell your product for retail sale? Or selling product online? You will almost certainly need to have identifying barcodes on the packaging by join GS1 Thailand membership.

Being GS1 Thailand member, not only get a unique GS1 number and barcode for your products. You will also receive many benefits from us.

The steps to get the barcodes from GS1 Thailand

Download and complete the application form

- Download the membership application form from the website.
- Complete GS1 Thailand application form.

Attach documents

- Attached all required document. (Documents required for Member Registration)
- Send all documents by email to

info@gs1thailand.org

Waiting for verification and payment notification

- Submit directly or send the registered mail to GS1 Thailand. After we checked all documents correctly, we will request the membership fee via the email.

- Please do not pay until you have been officially notified of your payment amount.

Make payment and send proof of payment

- Pay the membership fee as specified.
- Pay the membership fee and send pay-in slip to GS1 Thailand.

We will send the approval letter with unique GS1 number.

Register product information in the GS1 TH Member Portal system.

- Member register their product information on our GS1 TH Member Portal to end a process.

Documents required for Member Registration (GS1 Thailand)

  1. Certified copy of Certificate of Registration (Issued not more than 3 months)
  2. Certified copy of ID Card or Passport (Authorized Person)
  3. Certified copy of Value Added Tax 20, 01, or 09
  4. Certified copy of Profit and Loss Statement
       – (If the company is established less than a year, eligible barcode structure will be considered in accordance with authorized capital)
  5. GS1 Thailand Application Form
  6. Product Picture or Brochure
  1. Certified copy of Chairman ID Card and House Registration
  2. Certified copy of Group Registering of Establishment
  3. Minutes of Group Establishment
  4. GS1 Thailand Application Form

  2. Certified copy of House Registration and Certified copy of Commercial Registration Certificate (Commercial Only)
  3. Certified copy of Registering of Establishment from Ministry of Commerce (Group of Person only)

  • Remark

    1. All required documents must have authorized signature and company stamp.
    2. A copy of passport is required in case of foreign authorized person.
    3. In case of initial registration for 9 codes (1,500 Baht/year) and 99 codes (3,000 Baht/year), if the income before expenses in the following year exceeds 5 million Baht, GS1 Thailand will modulate the membership fee to be 8,000 to 12,000 Baht. The member shall acquire the same structure of barcode number as the initial registration.
    4. If the company is established less than a year, an eligible barcode structure will be considered in accordance with authorized capital (for the first year of application).
    5. Authorized assignment case requires:
      • A power of attorney
      • A copy of ID Card of the authorized person and proxy with 10 Baht Stamp Duty
    6. GS1 Thailand reserves the right to not refund in any cases.

  • Remark

    • Type B: Next year annual membership fee included.
    • Membership fees are calculated in accordance with the month of registration.
    • 7,000 Baht Entrance Fee applies in the first year only.
    • 7% VAT included.
    • The Federation of Thai Industries is not within the scope of paying juristic person income tax.
    • No withholding tax is required (taxed at the rate of 3%).

Express Service: Receive Barcode Numbers Within 1 Business Day via Email

the member needs to pay more 500 THB.

For document submission and payment completed
before 12:00 PM,

the barcode numbers will be issued in the afternoon of the same business day.

For document submission and payment completed
after 12:00 PM

the barcode numbers will be issued on the next business day, within 24 hours after payment confirmation.
